Dr Steph Wade
Steph is a Clinical Psychologist who works with adults and adolescents to address a range of difficulties and enhance their psychological wellbeing. She works in a collaborative and genuine manner, applying well-researched psychological interventions in a way that is specific and relevant to each individual.
Steph has specialist interest and expertise in the treatment of eating disorders and weight related difficulties. In addition to her postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology, she completed a PhD which included researching a number of factors which are theorised to maintain eating disorder symptoms. She is passionate about helping individuals achieve meaningful and lasting changes to their relationship with eating, body and sense of self.
Steph draws from treatment modalities such as schema therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, attachment theory and cognitive behavioural therapies. She works with a range of issues, including (but not limited to)
• Anxiety and stress
• Depression and low mood
• Relationship and attachment difficulties
• Life transitions
• Managing sports performance or lifestyle
• Eating disorders and weight related difficulties
• Perfectionism and procrastination
• Work and study related difficulties

It should be noted that when you see a Clinical Psychologist up to 10 sessions per calendar year are covered by the medicare rebate. You may wish to visit your GP first in order to set up a mental healthcare plan and claim the rebate for your sessions with Dr Wade.
Additionally, Steph’s specialist training in eating disorders also allows for eligible patients to be referred under an Eating Disorders Plan for up to 40 sessions per calendar year.
